Every building project on the school estate requires a range of specific skills, and the lines can easily become blurred. For example:

  • An architect is not usually a Planning Consultant, so should not be asked to perform that key task.

  • A builder shouldn’t bear the burden and risk of last-minute design changes.

  • A Bursar’s construction knowledge is probably not sufficient to decide whether extra charges for variations over the contract price agreed are reasonable.

  • What about completion delays and poor-quality work- who is the arbiter and enforcer when things go wrong?

  • As your Client Representative, we will co-ordinate, motivate and test architects, planners and building contractors from initial concept to completion, to deliver high quality work and optimum value against agreed KPI’s with regular accountability and client reporting on progress and budget.
