Throughout the concept consultation and physical build process, a Client Representative acts on a school’s behalf to ensure best value and seamless delivery on Educational Capital Projects.
The services of a CR are usually cost neutral when budget and time savings are taken into account.
Independently represent the client to professional team and external parties from concept to completion of the project, including chair and minutes of onsite project meetings.
Impartially manage and advise on the appointment of the consultant team, Architects, Engineers, Planning Consultants, Quantity Surveyors, etc.
Ensure full consultation and statutory obligations are met, manage the planning application process should it be required.
Management of the build tender process ensuring the right contractor is employed for the project with optimum delivery programme and price.
Act as a conduit for information between the client, professional team and the contractor ensuring timely lines of communication are used and recorded.
Provide the client with regular, comprehensive, project reports.
Financial monitoring and approval of payment to the professional team and contractors.
Monitor build quality on the client’s behalf for a smooth handover and validation of build defects warranty.
Represent the client’s best interests in dispute resolution.
We will co-ordinate, motivate and test architects, planners and building contractors from initial concept to completion, to deliver against agreed KPI’s with regular accountability and reporting on progress and budget.
